About Tanya Coghill
Born and raised in Abbotsford, Tanya Coghill is a proud lifelong community member, parent, and dedicated volunteer. For nearly two decades, she has been a tireless advocate for students, families, and schools across the district.
Tanya first got involved when her eldest child started kindergarten, and since then, she has contributed to countless school communities through PAC leadership, district-level advocacy, and mentoring other parent groups both locally and provincially.
Her dedication has been recognized with the Abbotsford Board of Education’s Community Matters Award (2023) and as one of Abbotsford News’ “Heroes in Education.” Tanya’s hallmark has always been her guiding principle of “Serving with Joy,” which has inspired schools, parents, and volunteers throughout the district and beyond.
Outside of education, Tanya has also given her time to youth sports organizations, church ministries, and community programs. Married for 29 years and mom of two, she values family, integrity, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.
