A candidate who genuinely cares about our school system!!
I have had the pleasure of knowing Tanya over the past few years and she is truly an amazing person. She has helped many schools achieve success in many ways. Tanya has been in and around the district's school system for years and knows the ins and outs of it all, from what the teachers require, to the students' needs, district policies, financial responsibilities and she is a huge supporter of parent volunteers and PACs.
There's a reason why she was awarded the 2023 Abbotsford board of education Community Matters Award!
Tanya is selfless, dedicated and genuine! It is my pleasure to support Tanya Coghill as a candidate for School Trustee in this year's by-election.

Tanya is someone who truly listens and works respectfully with people from all walks of life. She brings a deep understanding of how schools operate, both from her hands-on experience and as a dedicated parent.

Tanya is truly an amazing person who is all about giving. She has supported me and the schools my children attend in countless ways, and her impact is felt well beyond just one community.
She has helped us rewrite our constitutions, create PAC binders that not only guide the current teams but make things easier for future PACs, and provided direction on running meetings so they stay aligned with our constitution. She comes alongside us for school projects, often with something homemade to share, and somehow makes even the most overwhelming or complex tasks feel simple and manageable. She always approaches everything with kindness, patience and unwavering support.
What sets Tanya apart is how much she gives of herself. She doesn’t just support one school—she supports several, often at the same time. Whether it’s helping redo our home reading books, showing up at events, being there for Ready, Set, Learn as families prepare for kindergarten, or simply being available whenever we need advice or someone to bounce ideas off of, Tanya is always there.
She has even helped us collaborate with other schools to find cost-efficient and thoughtful ways to host events like staff appreciation lunches—turning them into something elegant and memorable. No matter what she’s involved in, Tanya brings creativity, care, and a generous spirit.
What I admire most is that Tanya gives selflessly, never asking for anything in return except the pure joy of seeing others succeed. Because of this, her passion for helping, her dedication to families, and her genuine care for people make her an outstanding leader.
It is truly my pleasure to support Tanya Coghill as a candidate for School District Trustee. With her heart for service, her proven dedication, and her vision to help schools thrive, I know she would be an incredible addition to the board and a strong advocate for students, families, and staff. I have no doubt she will bring the same heart, dedication, and positivity to the role of Trustee as she has shown in our schools, and her commitment to building stronger schools and communities is exactly what we need.

I first met Tanya through the PAC at Bateman when our kids were in school, and I was immediately impressed by her energy, her focus on making kids the priority, and the way she leaned in to lead and empower parents.
Later, we worked together on a gender equity presentation for the school board, and Tanya continued to demonstrate who she is: thoughtful, engaged, and deeply committed. Our ideologies are quite different, yet I have always admired her willingness to have deep, meaningful conversations on difficult topics while maintaining our friendship with respect and without judgment.
Tanya is open-minded, kind, and energetic. She has given countless hours to supporting schools—long after her own children had graduated and moved on to post-secondary education. Her passion for the well-being of students and her dedication to making our district the standard by which others should be measured are truly inspiring.
Tanya is uniquely qualified for the role of school trustee. She brings not only experience and leadership but also compassion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to kids and community. I fully and wholeheartedly endorse her for this role.

I have had the privilege of knowing Tanya Coghill for 18 years, ever since our kids first started kindergarten together. From the very beginning, she has been deeply committed to supporting schools, always stepping up to volunteer wherever help was needed. Over the years, she has served in many roles, including PAC chair at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, always bringing her passion for kids and her dedication to equity for all students.
What has always stood out to me is how she serves—with humility, kindness, and joy. She never speaks poorly of others, and she consistently builds positive, respectful relationships with students, staff, and school administration. Collaboration and respect have always been at the heart of her approach.
I had the opportunity to work closely with her on a gender equity presentation for the school board, and I was so impressed by her thoughtful and respectful way of engaging with challenging topics. She is non-judgmental, kind, and truly leads with a compassionate heart.
I can think of no one better suited to serve as a school trustee. Tanya will bring dedication, integrity, and a genuine commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
